Founder of the GuanJing Method. Movement teacher, author, and guide dedicated to the healing power of movement for over two decades.
Hi, I’m Ting Ting Guan
My Story
I was born in China, and from a young age, I was drawn to the relationship between the body and the inner life. That curiosity led me into the movement and wellness world, where I spent years deepening my practice and eventually leading retreats and teacher trainings in Bali. It was rooted, meaningful work and for a long time, it felt like exactly where I was meant to be.
Then in 2019, everything shifted.
I moved to Los Angeles hoping to share my work with a new community. But nothing landed. The version of me that had thrived in Bali felt invisible in this new city. I found myself in a period of real darkness, where I was questioning my identity as a healer, a teacher, a mentor.
The practices that once brought me peace felt hollow and my body began to carry tension I couldn't explain. The more I tried to think my way through it, the worse it got.
"I closed my eyes and let go. And something began to move within me — and I decided to move with it."
My body began to spiral and sway. I followed it, moving with my breath in beautiful new shapes. And when I opened my eyes, something had shifted. I felt a sense of relief, trust, and love for my path that I hadn't felt in months.
So I kept moving.
I brought this practice to the beach, to the park, to anywhere I could feel the earth beneath me. Strangers began to stop and watch. Some would cry. Others would come up and ask: "What are you doing and how can I learn?"
That's when I knew. This was something sacred.
We all carry grief. We all hold tension in our bodies that hasn't yet found a way out. And we all deserve a path to move it.
This is how GuanJing was born.
GuanJing emerged from lived experience.
It’s the understanding that the body stores what the mind can't hold, and that movement is one of the most honest pathways back to yourself.
Drawing on over two decades of study in yoga, Chinese medicine, Qi Gong, and somatic movement, I shaped what began as a personal practice into a method that has now reached thousands of students across the world.
I've spent over two decades in this work. I've taught tens of thousands of students through online programs, trainings, and retreats in Bali, Los Angeles, Europe, and across the globe. My book, GuanJing Method: Meditative Movements to Optimize Health and Vitality, became a bestseller. But what matters most to me isn't the numbers. It's watching the look on my student’s faces when they feel fully connected to their body and Qi energy in a way they’ve never experienced before.
