A meditative movement practice rooted in ancient wisdom, designed for the way we live today.
What is the GuanJing Method?
GuanJing is a meditative movement practice that blends the ancient wisdom of Yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and Chinese Medicine into something that feels entirely new.
The movements are spiraling, circular, and wave-like shapes that follow the body's natural rhythms rather than working against them. It's a practice of coming home to yourself, through breath, movement, and the intelligence of your own body.
The best way to understand GuanJing is to feel it
The Philosophy
The traditions GuanJing draws from - Yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi - have survived for thousands of years because they work. They are complete systems for developing awareness of the body, the breath, and the mind. But these traditions can be difficult to access. The scholarly language, dogma, and layers of esoteric commentary can leave the actual experience of liberation lost in translation.
GuanJing exists to close that gap.
The philosophy is simple: within each of us lies the wisdom of our greatest teacher. Not someone else's vision of who you should be, but your own most authentic self. A teacher can show you the way, but the way is uniquely yours.
We use the tools of GuanJing with purpose. The movements, breath, and sequences are instruments for transformation, directed by intention.
The Heart
In almost every culture throughout history has regarded the heart as a source of wisdom, spiritual intelligence, and connection to something larger than ourselves.
Modern research is beginning to confirm what these traditions always knew. The heart emits a powerful electromagnetic field that permeates every cell in the body and extends up to twenty feet beyond it. It influences our mental, emotional, and physical experience in ways science is only beginning to measure.
In GuanJing, we work directly with this field. When the heart leads, the mind follows.
There has never been a more faithful companion to our experience of life than the breath.
It always tells the truth. In any given moment, the breath reflects the exact condition of the body and mind… whether we are contracted or open, afraid or at ease, holding on or letting go.
In GuanJing, breath is the foundation. The way we breathe shapes the way we move, and the way we move shapes the way we feel. Specific breathing techniques are woven into every sequence to stimulate the body's vital energy, condition the nervous system, and activate the release of tension that has been stored in the tissues.
When you learn to work with your breath, you gain access to a tool that is available to you every moment of every day.
The Breath
The Nervous System
Most of us spend more time than we realize in a state of activation — the body's ancient fight-or-flight response, designed to protect us from danger. The problem is that the nervous system cannot distinguish between a genuine threat and the everyday pressures of modern life. Stress at work, emotional tension, unprocessed grief - the body responds to all of it the same way.
Over time, this keeps us contracted. We hold tension and become disconnected from our own bodies.
GuanJing works directly with the nervous system through conscious breath, intentional movement, and intelligent sequencing. Each class is designed to guide the body from activation into regulation to move you from tension into flow. As this becomes familiar in practice, it begins to carry over into daily life.
The Movements
The movements of GuanJing follow the spiral patterns found throughout nature — in water, in plants, in the structure of the human spine. They are circular, wave-like, and continuous and nothing is forced.
Each sequence is intelligently designed, drawing on the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, yogic alignment, and somatic awareness. Movements are combined with breathwork, Qi cultivation practices, and meditation to create a complete inner journey in every class.
The result is a practice that works on every level simultaneously, including the physical, emotional, and energetic.
You feel disconnected from your body and want to find your way back
You're navigating stress, anxiety, grief, or a period of transition
You've tried meditation but find stillness difficult (pssttt… movement is your doorway)
You practice yoga or Qi Gong and are ready to go deeper
You're a wellness teacher or practitioner looking to expand what you offer
You simply want to feel more alive in your body
You don't need any experience. You don't need flexibility or fitness. You just need the willingness to move and the curiosity to explore what your body already knows.
GuanJing is for you if:
The Roots
GuanJing draws from traditions that have guided human beings toward health, vitality, and self-knowledge for thousands of years.
From Yoga comes the science of breath, postural alignment, and the understanding that the body and mind are one integrated system.
From Qi Gong and Tai Chi comes the cultivation of life force energy — the art of moving Qi through the body with intention and awareness.
From Traditional Chinese Medicine comes the framework of Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, and the meridian system that we use as a map of the body's energetic architecture that is as precise as it is ancient.
GuanJing does not replace any of these traditions. It honors them and weaves them into something living, accessible, and relevant to the way we move through the world today.
